Ghana's Annual Recovery Walk

Ghana's Annual Recovery Walk is a way to celebrate recovery, show your support, generate hope, reduce stigma and offer living proof that recovery is real! All proceeds will help us continue our mission to strengthen the recovery community through peer-to-peer support, public education, and advocacy.

Ghana's Annual Recovery Walk was first held in 2015. It is significant because it is the first walk for recovery in the country's history. Each year, we have roughly 300 to 400 Ghanaian family members, friends and allies, Recovery Africa Board Members, partner organizations and individuals in long-term recovery show up to to support Ghana's Recovery Movement. Our walk for recovery has garnered media attention from local news and radio shows and helps us to put a voice on the topic of addiction and recovery throughout the country.
